Primary fire doesn’t reflect projectiles Takes a lot of shots to kill baby Necro-morphs even when the weakspot is exposed.Terrible for boss encounters (Levithan & Hivemind).The special upgrades for the gun are found very late into the game.Force gun is available in chapter 6 (halfway through the game).All special upgrades are towards the gravity well.Gravity well doesn’t do any damage unless upgraded.Starts off rather weak, needing some damage upgrade to do some destruction.Can’t destroy the tentacles in the tentacle grab sections of the game.Although it’s primary fire can hit pretty far, its only effective at short range.Can plant proxy mine on fan blades for a deadly comboĦth place – The Force Gun (my personal favourite).Proxy mines have no arming time thus can serve as a grenade launcher.High ammo capacity especially when upgraded.Alt-fire good for delimbing crowds especially with the special that increases it’s blast radius.Surprisingly good against bosses when its upgraded.Proxy mine returns to ammo form if you stray too far from it’s initial position.Requires upgrades to make it a decent weapon.Because it needs a lot ammo, this makes selling pulse rifle rounds NOT worth (if you are using it as a main weapon).Consumes a lot of ammo to delimb/kill enemies even when upgraded.Only has 1 upgrade to boost firing rate, the special about 23% increase.The alt-fire does not benefit from damage upgrades.In 7th place we have the Pulse Rifle (Fits the lore since you need delimb to neutralize Necro-morphs) I have played with all the weapons on the highest difficulty (hard/impossible). The differences between some of the weapons are very close but there are some factors that puts it higher in my honest opinion. Handcannon to be excluded as it is more an unlock “cheat” weapon.The gun without any upgrades & fully maxed out (weakest & strongest).How early do you get the weapon & its weapon parts (upgrades).Synergy between other guns is NOT considered.The guns are judged solely by their own strength as if you can only use this weapon to go through the entire game.Ammo economy (The ratio of the amount of ammo needed to eliminate threats and selling excess ammo).Cost efficiency (The ratio between the purchasing price of the ammo and the firepower of the weapon).(updated as of 2 June2023 to have an image) Form Finger included as an honorable mention
